1. At a glance
This policy covers the TC Play iOS application and this product website, published under the QPLC name. “We” refers to the publisher of TC Play.
TC Play does not require an account. The app does not include advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. We do not collect your rehearsal media through the app, create advertising profiles, or sell or rent your personal data.
2. What stays on your device
TC Play stores settings, cue lists, presets, connection preferences, and imported media locally on your device. Imported audio and video may be copied to the app’s own storage so you can use them again.
TC Play does not upload your audio, video, camera recordings, or microphone input to our servers. The app has no cloud account or media-upload service.
Your device’s own backup and Photos settings may separately copy data to iCloud or another service you use. Those services are controlled by you and their providers, not by TC Play.
3. Devices and local-network communication
When you enable and configure connections, TC Play exchanges timecode and show-control data with the devices or network destinations you select. Depending on your setup, this can include MTC over MIDI or RTP-MIDI, Art-Net TimeCode, and OSC commands and their configured values. LTC uses the audio input or output you select.
Your media files are not sent by TC Play over these network protocols. Only the control, timing, connection, and command data needed for the protocols you explicitly configure is exchanged. Broadcast modes, when selected, can reach compatible devices on the local network rather than a single receiver.
Use trusted local networks and check your destination addresses. Connected equipment handles the data it receives under its own settings. If you deliberately use a routed network or VPN, your network configuration determines where those packets travel.
4. Permissions you control
- Local Network
- To discover and communicate with compatible equipment using network MIDI, OSC, and Art-Net. Denying access limits these network features.
- Microphone / audio input
- To receive and decode LTC from a microphone or connected audio input. Camera recordings may also include sound when audio capture is enabled. TC Play does not send this input to an online transcription or analysis service.
- Camera
- To record video when you choose the camera as a media source.
- Photos / media selection
- To select videos for playback and, when requested, save recorded video to your Photos library. File selection gives the app access to the files you choose.
You can decline permission requests or change permissions later in iOS Settings. A feature that needs a denied permission may be unavailable; other features can still be used where their own requirements are met.
5. Retention and deletion
Locally stored settings and media remain until you remove them or delete the app. Use the app’s media deletion controls to delete imported copies and remove cue lists or presets you no longer need. Removing an imported copy does not delete the original file in Photos or Files.
Deleting TC Play from iOS removes its app-local data. Offloading the app may retain that data. Recordings saved in Photos, original source files, exported copies, and device backups must be deleted separately in the app or service that holds them. We cannot remotely view, recover, or delete your local rehearsal files.
6. This website and support
This website uses no advertising or analytics scripts and sets no application cookies. It is delivered through Cloudflare and our hosting server. To deliver and protect the website, infrastructure providers may process technical request information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information, and timestamps. This is separate from the TC Play app’s local media and settings. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for its processing practices.
The support-page report helper runs in your browser. Its fields are not submitted to us or stored by this website. Copying a report places it on your clipboard; you decide whether and where to share it. Do not include passwords, private media, or information you do not want to disclose.
7. Changes to this policy
We will publish any changes on this page and update the effective date. The current version will remain accessible without an account.
